Her fame is beyond Cameroon. Julienne Dafonseca is enjoying a new great success with her Owl collection. “OWL is the name of a bird and O.W.L is Original Women’s Life “. The choice of the logo is very simple. I am a fan of owls. My choice of this logo was thus easy, but I wanted a playful and funky owl. I wanted it to make smile.”
Having been buyer / head of Products during 9 years for a big international fashion brand, she did not hesitate to launch her own brand. “By passion of my continent, Africa, “its music, its colors, its joy of living, its cooking … It is a pleasure to wear garment that connects me with my roots while adapting myself to an urban and contemporary universe. It is my vision of modern, dynamic and joyful Africa.”
She set up her company with the man of her life who manages finance and marketing parts. “I am stubborn and sometimes, it happens to us to have strong discussions… Lol, at the end we always find a point of agreement. It is very enriching to work in couple because we learn every day from the experience of each other; I myself, I am always admiring.”
Julienne Dafonseca targets African market, but she also has ambitions in Europe and in the United States.
