The video created discord. Entitled “Our oath for Algeria”, the clip of campaign song for the candidate-president did not make unanimity on Internet. The video produced by Djaffar Kacem showed about sixty Algerian personalities supporting the candidacy of president Bouteflika.
Those who set their voice for this music were: Cheb Khaled, the star of the raï; the humorist Smaïn, the singers Cheb Yazid, Rim Hakiki, Kenza Farah, or the former football player Lakhdar Belloumi.
The clip published on Sunday is at the heart of debates on social networks. For detractors of Abdelaziz Bouteflika, personalities presented in the video are just “opportunists”. More than 10.000 people did not like the production, against only 1300 that adhered to it.
Abdelaziz Bouteflika (77 years old) aatcked by a CVA in April, is seeking for a fourth mandate (17th April). For Algerian president, this candidacy is the proof that he listens to his people. “It would cost me to stay deaf to your calls. So, I decided not to disappoint you, to stand as candidate for the presidential election and to put all my energy at the achievement of your wishes”, he declared.
