Lancôme new muse!
Lupita Nyong’o, the actress who was recently Oscar-winner of the best feminine hope for her role in 12 Years a Slave, should join the casting of the seventh section of “star Wars'” that will be produced by J.J. Abrams.
She has become ambassadress of the famous brand.
Lupita who made buzz some few days ago in posting her picture in natural on social networks, has just declared: «I am particularly proud to represent women unique vision of the brand and the idea that beauty should not be imposed but to be the expression of a free woman facing her fate».
She joined prestigious actress such as Julia Robert, Pénélope Cruz, Lily Collins and Kate Winslet. «Lancôme chooses actresses because they are more than simple faces; identification goes beyond esthetic register. We are lucky: our business represents more that appearances.»
Lupita Nyong’o was born in 1983 in Mexico but of Kenyan parents. She was mainly raised in Kenya. Her father was the former Kenyan minister of Medical services. He was elected in 2013 to represent the county of Kisumu at the Senate. He has a doctorate in political sciences of the University of Chicago and he taught in Mexico and in Ethiopia before taking a post at the University of Nairobi where he is teaching political sciences. His uncle was the famous Kenyan pathologist Aggrey Nyong’o, who died in a mysterious car accident in 2002 having been involved in the death of John Anthony Kaiser. His cousin Isis Nyong’o was appointed as one of the most powerful women of Africa by Forbes magazine in 2012.
Lupita Nyong’o followed her university studies of cinema in the United States. In 2008, she got a great success in her country with the television series “Kenya Shuga” before being impressive at Hollywood as actress.
