Ranking of the best universities of the world: Africa obtain 10 positions

Ten (10) African universities listed among the prestigious ranking 2014 of the best world universities, a ranking published by the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR).

 

By the way, South Africa possesses the best African training centers, Egypt also well placed with four classified universities.

 

The ranking 2014 is widely dominated by the United States. The European (two British faculties of Cambridge and Oxford) and Asian (the University of Tokyo) universities are also in good position.

 

Ranking of African universities with their world position as below:

 

1 – University of the Witwatersrand – South Africa: 114th

 

2 – University of Cape Town – South Africa: 267th

 

3 – Stellenbosch University – South Africa: 311th

 

4 – University of KwaZulu-Natal – South Africa: 459th

 

5 – University of Pretoria – South Africa: 609th

 

6 – Cairo University – Egypt: 802nd

 

7 – Makerere University – Uganda: 891nd

 

8 – Alexandria University – Egypt: 951nd

 

9 – Mansoura University – Egypt: 958th
