Senegal: appointment of Magatte Wade, mayor of municipality of Meckhé


Elhadji Ass Diagne just had a successor. Magatte Wade, former civil servant of the African Bank of Development (ABD), was invested on Thursday, the 7th mayor of the municipality of Meckhé in the district of Tivaouane in Senegal..


This investiture took place after the victory of the Takku Liguey Ngaye Coalition close to the Alliance for the Republic APR, (in power), in front of the Benno Bokk Yakar coalition.


Magatte Wade served in education sector before managing the African Partners International cabinet, the Association of the African Financing Institutions of Development (AIAFD) and the communication of the ABD group.


He is a doctorate holder in arts and humanities. He also got Bachelor’s and  Master’s in sciences and techniques of communication and several certificates in management and in organizational behavior.
