Since 10th August, the Beninese athlete, Carlos Bossouvi has made a commitment in a rather original and solidarity way initiative. The cyclist launched the challenge to join the city of Jarcieu (France) by bicycle. The objective is to collect 6 473 euros to support the humanitarian aids of the Jar’nati association in the North of Benin. This amount of money corresponds to the number of kilometers that separate Benin from Jarcieu (the French city that hosts the head office of Jar’nati).
Disappointed by the administrative red tapes that blocked at the Beninese customs, a truck for the Jar’nati association that was forwarding foodstuffs, Carlos Bossouvi decided to join the cause of the non-profit organization by offering the best of himself.
“Personally, as Beninese sportsman, I want to contribute to it by going to Jarcieu (France) by bicycle, to the head office of the JAR’NATI Association. This route of more than 6 473 km is my way of recognizing their work and showing that we, Beninese, wish to encourage the international solidarity. By going to meet them, my purpose is to support these associations so that they continue their cooperation in spite of the difficulties and the administrative obstacles and to collect so donations both at the national and international level to strengthen the work of the JAR’NATI association“, he indicated.
In order to reach his goal, every kilometer of the athlete is for sale on the site helloasso.com at this time we are publishing this article, he has already collected more 1037 €. “You should know that for every kilometer you buy, you contribute to give smile, well-being, and education to Beninese children, and to make this world better“, explained Carlos Bossouvi.
