For Mr. Sall, this serenity is a consolidating factor of a school of success and excellence.
The academic reopening 2014-2015 being fixed on Monday, 29th September for the administrative and teaching personnel and on Wednesday, 8th October for the pupils.
Let us note that the Minister of National Education and the teachers’ trade union do not until then manage to agree with “the commitments concluded by the government with the teachers’ trade union” and “the good application of the draft agreement signed with the high executives of the teachers’ trade union on 17th February 2014”.
In a communiqué from the Cabinet, the Senegalese president thus ordered the head of the government to watch over the “respect” of the aforementioned commitments.
Moreover, he committed the government to keep an eye, in connection with the partners of the educational system, on the respect of the school calendar, in the transparency of the teachers’ recruitment procedures, as well as the considerable improvement of the quality of their initial and in-house training.
