Researchers, political decision-makers and development actors coming from Africa and elsewhere, are meeting from 1st to 3rd November in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia in order to explore issues and existing executives in Africa regarding production of knowledge.
This meeting is organized within the framework of the 9th edition of the African Economic Conference under the theme: “knowledge and innovation for the development of Africa“.
During four days, the participants will have to examine the efficiency of African institutions dedicated to knowledge and to innovation in the development of skills and technological capacities and innovation.
The conference will also deal with policies that will be imperative in the domains of knowledge production and innovation to allow the realization of the development program of Africa.
Faithful to its tradition consisting in being the eminent academics and experts in economy, for the development actors, African Economic Conference remains the main sharing forum of knowledge and ideas on the best way of favoring growth and economic prosperity on the African continent.
This meeting is organized every year jointly by the ADB, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
