Four countries of the sub-region will successively welcome the 14th edition of Theater and Puppets International Festival of Ouagadougou (FITMO) around the “problem of artistic training and socio-professional insertion of artists in Africa“.
According to sources close to the organization, the event will be held from 10th October to 5th November 2014 in four countries of the sub-region namely Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger and Togo.
It is Burkina that will start the shows from 10th till 16th October.
FITMO will then continue in Mali from 18th to 22nd October before taking place in Niger from 25th to 29th October and end in Togo from 1st to 5th November.
On the agenda of the activities, traditional and modern shows of living arts, training and movie broadcasting workshops, forums on the shows and a colloquium on the theme.
The FITMO art director, Dr Hamadou Mandé, underlined that for caution against the Ebola virus, Guinea that was initially invited was finally cancelled because this country registers cases of the disease.
