The sublime “Omo Sexy” as her fans call affectionately her, has just been honored by winning a “national” special prize.
The Nigerian singer and actress, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, received a distinction that made of her, an Honorary Member of the Federal Republic (MFR).
According to the Nigerian government, this prestigious prize was awarded to Omotola for her exceptional contribution to the construction of the society and her actress’s talents on an international scale.
This prize is added to several others that the actress won in the past.
And she went wild with joy, an enjoyment that she expressed on her Instagram page in these terms: “some of you should have heard about my national prize. I always listened to the voice of wisdom. I was invited to receive this prize, I went there, I was decorated and I am very grateful“.
Mother of four children, Omotola joined in 2013 the top 100 women the most influential of the world established by the American magazine, “Time“.
She appears among 50 Africans the most influential according to a recent selection from the Pan-African magazine “Jeune Afrique“.
The Nollywood star has to her credit about 300 movies (broadcasted worldwide thanks to TV and streaming platforms).
She is moreover activist committed at Amnesty International (particularly so that Shell oil group cleans the delta of Niger).
Omotola Jalade Ekeinde is also UNO ambassadress for the World Food Program (WFP).
The Nigerian actress registers more than 1,5 million fans on her Facebook page and more than 400 000 subscribers on Twitter.
