South Africa: Jacob Zuma paying tribute to teachers

The South African president, Jacob Zuma, announced his admiration for the teachers of his country underlining that they helped his government to create a better life for all.

Besides, the South African teachers helped a lot for the freedom and the development of the country, declared Zuma on Monday during the celebration of October as “World Teachers Month“.

During October, we celebrate the role played by teachers in the construction of a better future. In the name of the government and the people of South Africa, I thank all the teachers for their hard work and their devotion“, declared the president.

Your contribution, your experience, your knowledge and skills are essential if we want to reach excellence in education and create a better life for all“.

He thanked education actors for their tireless work and wished through this opportunity that the World Teachers Month “inspires us all together to make of education in South Africa a model“, concluded President Zuma.
