The 4th edition of the International Fair on Energy, Mines and Quarries (SEMICA) will be held from 28th to 30th May of this year in the Burkinabe capital with Sweden as guest country of honor.
About 3000 participants coming from 50 countries are expected in this first West African meeting gathering the professionals of mines, energy and quarries sectors.
It is announced that ministers, ambassadors, company managing staffs, managing directors, consultants and international experts, investors, international mining companies, financing institutions are taking part in the meeting.
This edition is centered on the theme “Promotion of local materials and local supply of mining goods and services“.
Through this theme, the organizers intend to do so that the African companies in general and the Burkinabe in particular, can be big suppliers for the mining companies operating in Burkina Faso.
The SEMICA aims to be a valuation and promotion pole of the mining sector in Burkina Faso and in the sub-region.
APA news agency underlined that over the medium term, the fair aspires “to gather every year all actors of the sector in order to promote their products and exchange on the inherent problems“.
