The US President, Barack Obama will go to Nairobi in July for the first time since his election in 2008 at the head of the first power of the world. The visit of Barack Obama is historic because Kenya is the native land of his father.

The next travel of President Obama in Africa is within the framework of the world entrepreneurship summit. The event initiated since 2009 will be held for the first time in the sub-Saharan Africa.

Eagerly awaited in Kenya since his election in 2008, the US President, Barack Obama, has never had the opportunity to meet “his relatives“. We can remember that in 2008, Obama was the candidate of Africa and Kenya, particularly.

The country had been classified for a long time in the list of the most corrupt States of Africa. President Obama declared in 2006 that Kenya was “eaten away by corruption”. However the relations between Washington and Naïrobi have improved since the renunciation of the International Criminal Court to prosecute President Kenyatta, blamed for crime against humanity.

For the moment, the White House did not indicate if the US President will pay visit to his paternal family in the West of Kenya where the third wife of his grandfather is still alive.
