It is now official that Cameroon is the country chosen to shelter the building of a continental meteorological center by China.

The news was released at the end of last week by Wei Wenhua, ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Cameroon during a meeting with the Minister of Transport, Robert Nkili.

He added that “these recent weeks, both countries exchanged many notes in order to exactly strengthen the meteorological infrastructures“.
Mr. Wenhua underlined that in this perspective, “meteorology being at present a main issue in the world, China decided to create a meteorological support center in Africa“.
