The “Short films Meetings” competition considered by its promoters as an expression platform showing the dynamism of the Madagascan young generation film-makers came to an end on Saturday, 25th April in Madagascar. The competition opened to amateurs and professionals got the coronation of the young director, Ketaka Razafimisa posthumously rewarded for her movie “Her Little Piece of heaven“.
For the 10th edition of the event, the organizers decided to open the festival a little more to the international and offer a new showcase to the African animation. The RFC so launched the first Pan-African animation short films competition for Africa and the Indian Ocean.
The Golden Zebu went to Anjara Randriamahaly in the documentary category with a movie that paints the portrait of the Malagasy visual artist, Temandrota according to RFI.
Sitraka Randriamahaly won the Prize of animation with Rough life, a dumb, minimalist and humoristic cartoon. “I am very happy because it is Madagascar that won this first Pan-African edition. It is important at this moment“, the director declared on FRI.
