The passion of the artist for Africa is known by all. The American star of Senegalese origin, Akon, on visit in Morocco, announces on the social networks, the shooting of a clip video in the historic city of Marrakesh.
“To the attention on my dear Moroccans in Marrakesh, we are shooting my new video clip at 555 at 7 pm. Be there“, posted the artist on his Twitter account.
Akon is in Morocco within the framework of the Mawazine festival that took place in Rabat from 23rd May to 6th June 2015.
It was the occasion for the artist to clarify about the next release of “Stadium“, his very last album that has taken delays.
“It is sure that the album will be released this year. There were quite a lot of problems in the recording industry these last 5 years. My last album was brought out in 2008. The new one had to come out in 2010 during the World cup in South Africa but there was difficulty with business there; people lost their work and I suffered from it. I did not want to bring out this album without being able to make the special offer and without marketing. I then need to wait for things to come to the normal. And thanks to my various activities apart from music, I succeeded in buying back my contract and making things in my own way“, said the artist.
As Africa Top Success reported it to you, Akon has undertaken with his foundation a vast electrification project in Africa. He also works at the opening of the African music to the USA.
