In preparation for the XVth summit of the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF) that will be held on 30th and 31st November 2014 in Dakar (Senegal), an international meeting called « Young peole in the Francophonie: facing the future » is planned on 9th and 10th September the Senegalese capital town. The Forum will include the young project leaders of countries sharing French language. A call for application is launched to the African youth.
According to the communiqué from the organizers of the forum, the meeting aims at creating a space of dialogue between the young French speakers in order to share « success stories » between them regarding employment and to have dialogue with the political decision-makers and experts to identify together, priority sectors in which governments have to center their job creation policies.
Eligibility Criteria of the young participants:
Young from member countries of the OIF;
Young from 15 to 35 years old project leaders or who is trying to implement them;
Young representative of movements or associations that carry project;
Having a creative relevant project or susceptible to create jobs in the following domains: services, industry, cultural, community (social entrepreneurship), green jobs (sustainable agriculture: production and processing of agro sylvo-pastoral products, mining industries and their sectors, industries of collection, processing, recycling and valuation of industrial and household waste, renewable energies, creation and the maintenance of green space, eco-construction).
Methods of selection:
15 young project leaders among whom 7 Senegalese and 8 from the other French-speaking countries of Africa will be selected by the selection committee on the basis of their project;
The deadline of submitting applications is set on 18th August 2014;
The successful applicants will be informed during the week that follows.
Participating countries: all the member countries of the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF);
