The album that pays tribute to the African woman won the Grammy for the « Best world music album« . This distinction is the second awarded to the Beninese artist by the American academy.
Angélique Kidjo was competing with Toumani Diabaté and his son, Sidiki, « Toumani and Sidiki » (World Circuit), Wu Man, Luis Conte and Daniel Ho « Our World In Song » (Daniel Ho Creations and Wind Music), Sérgio Mendes, Magic (OKeh) and Anoushka Shankar, « Tracks Of You » (Deutsche Grammophon).

The Year 2015 starts well for Angélique Kidjo. The Beninese star, crowned the African of the year by the Pan-African newspaper, Africa Top Success, is also list among the most 50 influential women of the African continent according to the Jeune Afrique magazine.
