The 15th edition of the international short film festival « Clap Ivore » will take place from 1st to 2nd September 2015 in Abidjan. The Togolese authorities encourage their fellow countrymen to participate in the event that rewards young African directors.
According to a press release published by the minister for Communication, culture, arts and civic education, Kouméalo Anaté, Togolese directors willing to participate in the competition have until 2nd July to be registered at the national film office.
As a reminder, Togo swiped the major prizes involved during the last edition of the competition.
Togolese directors won five prizes among which the Grand Prix of the festival in front of 18 other productions of the ECOWAS in the competition.
Maxime Tchinkoun won with « Les avalés du grand bleu« , the Canal+ Prize for the best female performance, that of the best script and the WAEMU Trophy for the best fiction.
Joel Tchedré for his part won the Grand Prix of the competition with the documentary « Nana Benz, the queens of the African textile« .
