60 years of career for G.Akueson: a foundation in perspective

As Africa Top Success announced it to you, the Togolese producer, manager and instrumentalist, Akueson Gérard celebrates this year the sixtieth anniversary of his artistic career. After the press conference missed on 14th October (due to heart attack), the man revealed to the press on Tuesday, the program of activities on the agenda of the celebration.

The manager for the first African record company settled down in Paris, will lay early November the foundations for « Gérard Akueson Showbiz Academy foundation« . Several artists of international fame as Papa Wemba are announced in the gala evening that will be organized in honor of the Togolese producer.

« With audacity and conviction, I went behind the curtain in order to be able to put in spotlights, all these artists that I was happy to discover, supervise, manage and advise across the world, practically (Paris, Brussels, London, New York, Rio, Beijing, and many more« , declared Akueson during the press conference.

Drummer converted into producer and Manager, the Togolese, Akueson Gérard is the first African to create a record company in France. His Disques Akoe label that was established in 1962, produced several stars of the continent as the Togolese star, Bella Bellow, the Beninese, GG Vikey or the Congolese, Lokua Kanza.

His structure changed name for it first time in 1982 by becoming Bade Stars Music then for the second time in 1994 (Akueson Worldwide). In 2011 Akueson Gérard assigned the management of his business to his son, a crazy about ICTS who made a commitment to continue the work of his father.
