The edition 2014 of Africa SME Champions came to an end last Friday in Dakar (Senegal) with the adoption of a road map for the improvement of the coming editions. The meeting that aims to be a reflection framework on of SME financing questions got the participation of 300 SME and about hundred African economic and political decision-makers.
« Africa SME Champions is much more than a simple conference. We are going to propose companies and institutions to the community, an opportunity to meet their needs and allow them to interact. SME need money but they also need support above all, explaind Didier Acouetey, founder of the specialized recruitment agency, AfricSearch, and initiator of the event. That is why we decided to launch Africa SME Champions, a platform at the service of African SME.
According to APO, at first, the Forum aims at proposing help tools to SME on the basis of teachings of about fifteen thematic sessions of the forum around stakes as writing of a business plan, marketing techniques, customer relationship, etc. Partner institutions and companies as IFC, African Development Bank, OCP, investment funds and consulting firms will contribute to the supply of this expertise data base.
The next edition of Africa SME Champions will be held in November 2015 in Nairobi.
