Fashion was in the spotlight this weekend in West Africa. At the time the Togolese fashion designer, Bamondi celebrated her 30 years of career and the 4th edition of the Biennial fashion event in Togo (Bimod 228), the Ivorian fashion designer, Isabelle Anoh, was in attraction for the 9th edition of Afrik Fashion Show in Abidjan.
For the 9th edition of the fashion major meeting in Africa, Isabelle Anoh was at the limit of the perfection. 15 fashion designers from the whole Africa and the West, 42 professional models, everything is there for the event to be wonderful.
In order to present a unique show to the public that went to the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, Isabelle Anoh requested Carlos Hazel to assure the choreography of the fashion show. The decoration and the play of light were assigned to Reda Fawaz and Aréel Group. The fashion designers, Pathé’O, Alphadi, Collé Sow Ardo, Ciss St-Moïse, Eloi Sessou, Wafa, Grace Walace, Bouba Gaye, Koro DK Style and Habib Sangaré among others, proposed to the audience their recent collections.
The sponsor for the event, the Great chancellor of the National Order, Henriette Dagri Diabaté, was represented at the event by the Minister for Communication, Mrs. Affoussiata Bamba-Lamine. The latter congratulated the promoter of the event for her ingenuity that participates in the development of Ivory Coast.
In an interview granted to Top Visages, Isabelle Anoh traced back on the appointment of the sponsor of the event. « This great lady has always promoted the African fashion, maybe without knowing or willing it. I have never met her in a dress other than African. In all her public and official apparitions, Henriette Dagri Diabaté is always dressed by African fashion designer. »
