Actors committed in the Internet development in Africa have been taking part in 5th African Peering and Interconnection Forum (AfPIF) since Tuesday, 26th August in Dakar, Senegal.

The initiative comes from the Regulatory Authority for Telecommunications and Posts (ARTP) and the African Regional Bureau of the Internet Society.

According to the organizers, this meeting aims at promoting the opportunities of national and cross-border interconnection.

A meeting where key actors as infrastructure suppliers, services providers, IXP, regulators and decision-makers can communicate in an environment relaxed but favorable to business, sharing their experiences and learning experts in these domains.

Planned for three days, the forum is taking place at the hotel Pullman under important subjects namely: « peering and transit », « Internet Exchanges Points (IXP)« , etc.
