A few weeks ago, Africa Top Succcess launched the polling on African artists the most appreciated during the summer holidays 2014.
26 % of readers and voters chose the Nigerian star, Davido and made of him the artist of these days in front of Singuila (23 %) and Sarkodie ft Castro (21 %).
The choice of Davido by our readers is not surprising. The promoter of skelewou dance staged all the big podia of the African and western capitals towns this summer. He also won the most prestigious awards of the year whether at Mtv Africa Music or at BET awards.

Biography
Born on 21st November 1992 in Atlanta, (the United States), Davido has everything to make sure of a resounding entry to the showbiz. Music addict from the age of 11 years old, he was could count on the support of his family that was determining in his lightning professional advancement. With his brother who helps him in the management of their production structure and a businessman father, Davido could not dream better.
In 2003, Davido was struck by a very bad news: the death of his mother. Far from abandoning everything, he found in this hard test a reason to excel himself in the way he chose. Indeed, the source of inspiration of the artist remains the image he keeps of his deceased mother. « She is the reason for which I do what I am doing… She liked amusing herself and I intend to immortalize my inheritance. I like when people are happy and when they can dance on my music! My mother liked dancing on music and I am inspired when I think of the kind of beats that would make her dance« , explained the artist.
« Back When » released in 2011 was the first song of Davido that announced his brilliant career. However, it took two years for the artist to be known beyond the borders of Nigeria. After the launching of Skelewou, Davido has been cumulating international rewards: two distinctions of which the one of the best male artist at MTV Africa Music Awards 2014, the best international music of Africa at BET AWARDS 2014, Davido swept off everything on his way.
Davido always gives a special place to his university studies. In order to combine the university and the music, he got registered for partial time studies at the Babcock University in Business management.
