The launch of the tenth edition of the Pan-African Music Festival (Fespam) will take place in Cuba. The news was released by the ambassador of Cuba in Congo at the end of a discussion with the Congolese Minister of Culture, Jean Claude Gakosso.
The city of Havana is chosen to welcome the opening ceremony for the launch of Fespam 2015. According to the Cuban diplomat, the show will be beautiful. « We are shall do the utmost in order to make the majority of the cultural events perform so that the Congolese people dance with their brothers of Cuba« , declared Manuel Serrano Acosta.
The festival that traditionally takes place in Libreville, offers music shows, symposium, permanent exhibition of musical instruments, training workshops, the MUSAF, the election of Miss Fespam and other related and tourist activities.
This year, the event will take place in Mbé. The choice of this place is not for granted according to the organizers of the festival. « We chose Mbé because we work with Unesco to register Mbé in the list of the world intangible heritage of Unesco« , declared the general commissioner of the Fespam, Dieudonné Moyongo.
For the moment, the date of the festival is still unknown. We shall keep you posted.
