FIBDA 2014: the best cartoonists rewarded

As Africa Top Success announced it, the 7th edition of the Cartoon Films International Festival of Algiers (Fibda) came to an end last Saturday in the Algerian capital town with the awards to the various prize-winners of the prizes involved.

In the category of « Best school hope« , the prize went to Makhlouf Charraf Eddine. Mohamed Amine Fitas won the prize « Young Talents » and the Prize of the « best blog » came to Delilah Sid Ahmed.

As reminder, 80 young Algerian creators participated in the various aforesaid categories.

On the international level, the competition dedicated the work « Clandestino » by the French cartoonist « Aurel ». The latter tells in his creation, the adventures of a journalist from an American magazine in news coverage in Algeria on the illegal migrants.

A total of 32 countries participated in the 7th edition of the Cartoon Films International Festival of Algiers (Fibda). The Algerian Minister of Culture, Nadia present at the opening ceremony of the festival seized the opportunity to invite the Algerian national television to support the efforts of the young directors by producing their works.

As reminder, Brazil, distinguished guest at the festival, exhibited about sixty plates that tell about the rich experience of the country (more than 150 years) in this domain.
