Gabon: Who will be winners of the Grand Prix of excellence?

The president of Republic of Gabon Ali Bongo proceeded a few hours ago to the launching of the « Grand Prix of excellence » organized in partnership with the Junior Achievement local subsidiary. The Prize is opened to the accomplished entrepreneurs and to the young project leaders. It is divided in categories « Action » and « Hope« .

Junior Achievement supports the ambitious plan « Gabon Emergent » with the Grand Prix of Excellence. The competition, according to the organizers aims at identifying and helping the emergent small and medium-sized enterprises in the environment, industries and services sectors.

The category « Action » opened to the young entrepreneurs (20-40 years old) owners of a company duly registered in the Commercial court of Gabon or abroad (at least two years of activities).

An envelope for 37 500 000 FCFA (75.000 $) is kept for the prize-winner of this category while the 15 best projects of the « Hope » category can be financed up to 30 million of FCFA.

« No job, no business sector, no opportunity must be neglected when the changing of – mentalities, value chains, industry, investments – is a national priority. A new generation of economic actors opened to a world without borders should try to conquer markets for a more including and strong growth« , indicated President Ali Bongo on his Facebook page during the launching of the project.

Registrations in order to participate in the competition are opened and are going on until 30th September on the  jainafrica-grandprix.org site
