Joseph Djogbénou: the Beninese lawyer in the top 100 influential Africans

He succeeded in joining the closed circle and desired of the 100 most influential people of the continent. He is Me. Joseph Fifamin Djogbénou, trial lawyer in Benin and manager of the Law Study and Judicial Institutions Research Center in Africa (CREDIJ).

It is the bimonthly French magazine, « New African » that has just published in its issue N°41 for January-February 2015 the list the 100 most influential Africans in terms of decision-making and strategic choice.

Thus, this doctor of law finds himself in the ranks of the personalities as Roch Marc Christian Kaboré of Burkina Faso, Kadré Désiré Ouédraogo of Burkina Faso, Charles Konan Bany of Ivory Coast, Amara Essy of Ivory Coast, Vital Kamérhé of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Thabo M’Béki and Julius Maléma of South Africa.

For the managing staff of this Magazine that is a unique reference source for governments, business managers, academics and all those who have an interest for the African continent, Me. Joseph Djogbénou is unmistakably an iconic figure of the civil society in Benin.

At 45 years old, he is the pioneer of the « Red Wednesday » movement committed in the fight against the revision of the Beninese Constitution of December 1990.

Authors of several publications and chairman of the Dhpd NGO (Human Rights, Peace and Development) since 2008, he is a committed defender of liberties and democracy.
