The Kenyan president, Uhuru Kenyatta, wants to put order in the management of the finances of his country with the digitalization of the expenses. The president reminded on 11th March during the launching of the integrated system for the population census, the importance of e-procurement.
E-procurement is a module of the supplies electronic management in companies or organizations. It is a part of the purchases electronic management that, upstream, includes the suppliers selection actions (e-sourcing) and downstream, the placing and follow up of orders, the e-procurement.
« All those who are in charge of government agencies will personally be taken responsible for the failure of the adoption of this system by their administration« , declared President Uhuru Kenyatta.
This new management of the expenses of the government will allow according to the president showing the population the good use of public money. In Kenya the supply in foods and services represents half of the state budget.
