Placed under the High Patronage of His Majesty, King Mohamed VI, the 7th edition of the Festival Voix de Femmes de Tétouan (Voice of Women from Tétouan Festival), is taking place on 18th, 22nd and 23rd August 2014.
An event carrying human and social values and as every year, it will pay an emotional tribute to the women contribution to the Mediterranean civilization.
As the previous editions, the promotion of the local products and the local small business sector is essential, and it is from 18th August.
For the occasion, the « Au fil du temps » Market will display during one week as promoter of local products and small business sector made by member women from cooperatives coming from the northern part of Morocco.
The organizers also intend to give access to medical healthcare. This is why the « Santé pour Tous » (Health for All) operation is established. An important action that included every year in the Festival and that aims at improving sanitary conditions of about 1500 women, children and old people in precarious situation in Tétouan.
This campaign will be carried out by the Moroccan Association for Orphan Health Preservation in association with the Voice of Women Association.
Young people are also in the spotlight: the exhibition of visual arts « Young women artists from the INBA » will be the opportunity to celebrate young female talents from the famous National Institute of the Fine arts of Tétouan.
The prize-winners of the « VOIX de FUTUR » Competition organized in partnership with the Regional Institute for National Education will present on the Al Matar stage.
The Festival musical programming honors female voices from the Mediterranean and Gulf region.
During the first evening, the public will vibrate on the melodious songs of the Tunisian star SHERAZADE, music iconic from the Maghreb.
It will be followed by the mesmerizing Moroccan voice, HOUDA SAAD who will give rhythm to the opening of the Festival.
The second evening will be conducted by SIEMPRE ASI who comes straight from Seville to then close the festival with the major star from the United Arab Emirates, AHLAM who will seduce the public with the Khaleji style.
