The American magazine, Time, published on 16th April its ranking of the world 100 most influential personalities. Only six Africans appear on the list divided in five categories (the Titans, Leaders, Pioneers, Icons and Artists).

The Nigerian novelist, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, is the unique African listed in the category « Artists ». She appears in this group beside several great names as the actor, Bradley Cooper or the humorist, John Oliver.
