The measure of banning the Coupé-Décalé music on the national channels in DR Congo would not be without consequence. A few days after the decision, the Ivorians decided to get give this asshole some of their own to the Congolese.

In retaliation, the Congolese music is forbidden in turn by all the DJ of Ivory Coast, and it is DJ Luciano, the chairman of DJs of Ivory Coast who has just launched this watchword, making at present a brainwashing on the social networks so that the instruction is respected.

For the Congolese authorities, this directive from the National Commission for Censorship of Songs and Shows that particularly pointed at artists as Ferré Gola, Koffi Olomidé and Werrason, as well as of several songs belonging to the kind « Coupé-Décalé« , aimed at cleaning up the customs and contributing to the campaign of the new citizenship.

But Ivory Coast does not see it this way. For the DJ actors of the Coupé-Décalé, the reasons set forth by Kinshasa are sufficient and are rather contrary to the objectives of the Coupé-Décalé that essentially aim at giving pleasure to the followers of this musical genre.

Note that the economic capital town of Ivory Coast, Abidjan, abounds in places that propose the Congolese « Rumba » played live by bands.

To what extend will go this musical war between both countries? Wait and see!
