Senegal: the International Mining Trade Fair starting on 4th November

Senegal is bustling about organizing the third edition of the International Mining Trade Fair of Senegal (SIM SÉNÉGAL 2014). One of the biggest West African meetings for the mining actors will be held from 4^th to 6^th November 2014 in Dakar. Organized by the Senegalese Ministry of Industry and Mining, the biennial meeting announced an increase of the number of partners and participants.

700 delegates from 30 countries participated in the previous edition of the SIM SÉNÉGAL. The biennial meeting remains an opportunity for multilateral partners, investors of the mining private sector, and representatives of the Senegalese public sector as well as mining service providers to make communications on their sector. Exhibitions and conferences are also planned for this third edition.

SIM SÉNÉGAL offers a showcase for the organizing country to praise its mining wealth. Indeed, the subsoil of Senegal offers a big diversity of mineral substances including precious metals (gold and platinum), basic metals (iron, copper, chromium, nickel), industrial minerals (phosphates, industrial limestone, salts, barium etc.) heavy minerals (zircon and titanium), decorative stones and building materials etc.
