Sucaf Gabon is aiming high. The Gabonese company specialized in the sugar canes plantation and exploitation and which also operates in the production and marketing of sugar plans a production of 270 000 tons of sugar canes for the current year. Once this new objective reached, will beat the record of 26 850 tons realized in 2011.
In front of the need becoming more and more strong, Sucaf Gabon intends to increase its sugar cane production to satisfy a great part of the Gabonese population. During a press conference held on Tuesday, the management of the company recognized the incapacity of its structure to satisfy the expectation of the entire Gabonese. Indeed, the national need in sugar is estimated at 35 000 tons while the company plans 270.000 tons for the year 2014.
« In order to reach this horizon, strategic orientations are in progress with the extension of the sugar cane farms and the increase of the factory production capacity » indicated Christian Renardet, the managing director of Sucaf Gabon who also announced « the progress in the implementation of the food safety management system with the aim of the FSSC 2000 certification« .
Create in 1998 after the privatization of the SOSUHO (Sugar Company of Haut-Ogooué), Sucaf Gabon (subsidiary of the SOMDIAA Group) is a real job provider in Gabon. The company created 403 permanent jobs, 248 seasonal employments, 512 subcontractors and about 500 indirect jobs all over Gabon.
