Togo: End of the very Short-film Festival

The International Festival of very short films started on 6th January 2015 in Lomé, came to an end last Monday. The event that is for its first edition in Togo, aims at giving a new breath to the national cinema. The Association for the Promotion of the Culture of Cinema in Africa, promoter of the event in Togo, intends to develop this new movie format at the national level.

The key program of the festival divided in two parts, includes movies of any nationalities and any kinds: fiction, animation, documentary, experimental. Prizes will be awarded to the best productions.

Apart from projections, critic workshops and scenario workshops filled the meetings.

As a reminder, the very short-film international Festival is for its 17th edition at the world level and is held from 5th to 14th June of this year in more than 100 cities of the five (05) continents.

In Togo, the Goethe Institute of Lomé is chosen to host the festival.
