The greatest award evening for artists of Africa and the Diaspora called Kora will take place on 13th December 2015 in Windhoek (Namibia). The steering committee of the event has just announced the opening of the registrations of artists that will continue until 15th July 2015.
This year, prizes are divided in 7 categories among which 9 regionals. To be eligible in the category of the Best African Artist of the year, artists must be voted as the best of their respective regions (the East, the West, the South, the North, the Central), specified a press release by the steering committee.
Here are the conditions to participate in Kora 2015
1/KORA Awards are opened to all musicians, artist singers of Africa and its Diaspora living on the Continent or elswhere. The competition includes several prizes and any artist can register in one or several categories of his choice.
2/The songs participating in the competition owe must have been brought out between 1st January 2014 and 10th July 2015.
3/The songs must be of good quality, not damaged and can be played on any sound reader.
4/The artist, the author or the composer of the songs in competition has to submit their applications to the KORA Awards team in Abidjan on 15th July 2015, the latest.
5/A letter for authorization must be sent to the KORA Awards team. This authorization concerns the use of your image, your videos, your musics and your biography for the promotion of the current KORA edition, at the address: [email protected] or [email protected]
The application must include the following elements:
A) The digital version or the CD of the album
B) Two (2) high-resolution color photos in the JPEG or the PNG format – No passport photo;
C) A biography in French, in English and (in Portuguese, if possible).
D) A digital copy of the video (high quality)
