Interrupted since last 11th August because of Ebola fever that has been raging in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia since last March, flights from Conakry by company Air Côte d’Ivoire resumed on Monday, 20th October, and also towards the two other countries. This news is from sources close to agencies of the aforesaid company accredited in Conakry.

From the same sources, Air Côte d’Ivoire Company will operate three flights per week, namely: Monday, Wednesday and Friday for estimated departure time set at 4:20 pm. It is also added that: « passengers from countries affected by the Ebola epidemic are for the time being accepted only on destinations as Abidjan, Accra, Cotonou, Kinshasa, Niamey and Ouagadougou« .

As reminder, last August, Abidjan suspended its flights towards the three countries affected by Ebola virus (Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia) before coming back on its decision on 26th September 2014.

It was the Ivory Coast president, Alassane Ouattara himself who then announced the news for the resumption of flights from the United Nations forum in New York, the United States of America.
