Agriculture and Animal Resources International Fair of Abidjan (SARA), opens again for its 3rd edition after 15 years of break.
This was through a grandiose launching ceremony on Monday in Ivory Coast economic capital town in the presence of authorities of the country among whom the Prime Minister, Daniel Kablan Duncan.
It will thus be held from 3rd to 12th April 2015 under the theme « Promotion of agricultural investment » with for slogan « SARA 2015, the Agri-business Meeting« .
According to Mr. Duncan, this 3rd edition after those of 1997 and 1999 is held in a « context of stability and post-crisis situation« .
« The edition 2015 arrives at the right time after important reforms realized in the sector of agriculture« , added the latter.
According to the promoters, this meeting aims at offering a platform of meeting and exchange on investment opportunities in Ivory Coast agriculture sector.
SARA 2015 will thus focus around promotional, scientific, commercial and media activities using at the same time « general public » and « professional » sizes.
The fair is opened to all actors in the domains of agriculture, animal and halieutic resources, water and forests, agribusiness and ecotourism, etc.
Conferences, workshops, competitions and nine poles are also on the agenda of this event co-organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, the one of animal resources and halieutics and the ministry of water and forests.
About 600 to 800 exhibitors and 500.000 visitors are expected in this big meeting with an institutional budget estimated at 500 million FCFA.
We should underline that SARA was suspended because of the sociopolitical crisis that prevailed in Ivory Coast.
