Togo: Cina Lawson revolutionizing the ICTS sector

Togo wants to modernize and revolutionize the ICTS sector. Thus, the ministry of the Post Offices and the Digital Economy initiated on 20th January of this year, a training workshop which has for venue, the premises of the ministry managed by Cina Lawson (photo). It was in the presence of the Minister and of her main collaborators.

It is about a capacity building plan in order to allow the engineers and technicians of the sector having a qualified personnel and appropriating all the knowledge and all skills useful in the perspective of a good management of the broadband network infrastructures to improve the connectivity of the departments of the administration and offering successful services, underlines the communiqué.

In her speech for the opening of the training workshop, the Minister declared that the ICTS sector in Togo is under construction.

« We do not want to wait till the difficulties occur in the infrastructures and equipment management before reacting. We have chosen to be far-sighted« , declared the Minister who plans to put at the disposal of the Togolese, a broadband network with costs accessible for all. She makes it her « hobbyhorse« , she promised.

This training project belongs to an ambition from the Minister in charge of the Post offices and the Digital Economy, Cina Lawson; that of the strategic positioning of the country in the sub-region even in Africa, with regard to ICTS. She wants, in the medium term and on the national level, to offer an accessible and quality service to all the Togolese.

The training concerns the management of network Core for the Development of the skills of the management unit of the e-government project.
