WaCA 2015: mining professionals expected in Accra on 20th May

The 7th West and Central Africa Mining Summit & Exhibition (WaCA) is back to Accra in order to give adequate platform to the industry to find means to overcome the difficulties of the sector after one year of troubles marked by the outbreak of the Ebola virus, the fall of ores rates and the weaker global demand.

Once again, the Global Magenta will host this large-scale event for industry with the support of first row actors among which the Ministry of lands and Natural resources of Ghana and the Ghanaian Mining Commission.

This event, planned on 20th and 21st May 2015 in Accra, will benefit from a strong participation of the main actors of the sector. The key points will be the presentations by industrial leaders such as Johan Ferreira, Manager Africa and Regional SVP for Newmont Mining Corporation and Alfred Baku, Executive vice-president and Manager for West Africa at Gold Fields.

Also known under the name of WaCA Mining, the regional summit will get the participation of important actors of industry coming from more than 30 countries among which, Congo, Senegal, Benin, Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria, South Africa, Namibia, and Cameroon. High rank delegations from governments of Benin, Senegal, Congo, and Mauritania, will make use of this event to show the mining potentialities of their various countries.
