Aeronautics: Marocco soon aircraft manufacturer

It is just a matter of days, weeks or months for an aircraft to be completely manufactured in Morocco.

The National office of airports (ONDA) and LH aviation Maroc signed on Wednesday, 23^rd April 2014 in Marrakesh, an agreement for installation of the 1^st factory of aircrafts manufacturing in Morocco.

Documents were signed by the managing director of ONDA, Zouhair Mohammed El Aoufir, and the CEO of LH Aviation Morocco, Mohsine Bennani Karim, in presence of vice-minister with Minister for Equipment, Transport and Logistics in charge of Transport, Mohamed Najib Boulif.

The agreement happens in the context of the 4^th International fair of aeronautics and spatial « Marrakesh Air Show 2014« , aims at the implementation in Morocco of an industrial unit for manufacturing of aircrafts LH-10 Ellipse type.

It concerns in particular construction, arrangement and exploitation at the Aéropôle de Nouaceur in Casablanca, of an industrial site for a surface of 19.000 m ² dedicated to aircrafts production LH-10 Ellipse type.

The operational phase of the project is highly awaited.
