« Warda« , the life passion by the Tunisian director, Mahmoud Jemni, has just won the Grand Prix of the Nile for the best short film during the African Film Festival of Luxor.

The prize consists of a sample of the mask of Toutânkhamon and a bonus of 2000 dollars.

Thirty seven (37) African countries participated in the festival. Three Tunisian movies namely: « The Child of the Sun » by Taieb Louhichi, « Sur cette terre » by Abdallah Yahia and « Feu » by Nejma Zghidi took part in the competition.

Three Tunisians appeared among the jury members: the actor, Hichem Rostom, Dorra Bouchoucha and Lina Chaabane, the general coordinator of the JCC.

The painting for Warda, young artist in the prime of life, is in fact a life passion and at the same time, a weapon to fight against cancer. Everything involved: everyday life, care and creation.
