The 5th edition of the Market of present-day music (MaMA) opened its doors on Wednesday in Paris in the presence of professionals coming from various horizons among whom Salif Traoré alias A’salfo and his fellows from Ivory Coast musical group, Magic system.
Introduced by the French Institute and the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF), this meeting called « Equation Musique » is a program for support by the presence of producers of the South on the professional markets.
Ivory Coast is represented at this market by the Gaou Productions structure, the label of Magic system group which is one of the « big attractions of this meeting », underlined an information note passed on to APA that specified that the selection mode of the invited structures is defined by the French Institute and OIF.
During three days, Gaou Productions, promoting structure of the Urban Musics of Anoumabo Festival (FEMUA) will share its experience with other reference festivals.
For Xavier Effoué, Managing director of Gaou Productions, « MaMA is an opportunity of promoting cultural industry in Africa and particularly in Ivory Coast ».
Reference festival, FEMUA is exchange opprtunities between artists and professionals of music. It henceforth matters among the most desired cultural events on the continent.
