The Congolese company, VMK (Vou Mou Ka), specialized in the manufacturing of telephones and tablets, is going to be established in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) by next October.

It is what declared the founder, the tech entrepreneur, Verona Mankou, at the end of a discussion last 7th May 07th with the deputy Prime Minister in charge of the Post offices and the telecommunications, Thomas Luhaka.

Mr. Mankou suggested that his visit was first of all a prospecting action to obtain approval from authorities for the coming of VMK on the ICTS market of DRC, what is the main target of the company.

« We cannot be leader on the continent without DRC, a big country with immense potentials, a big market essential to the development of our strategies« , explained the boss of VMK.

For his part, Mr. Thomas Luhaka assured that VMK has the « unstinting » support of the country for its establishment.

Let’s indicate that the company intends to invest about 15 million dollars over the next five years in the country and contribute to the creation of 500 jobs during this period of time.

After DRC, it plans to head for other countries, mainly Ivory Coast and Cameroon.

Based in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, VMK already has its own assembly plant which employs 100 people. Its opening is within some very few days.
