On 15th January 2010, the first plane of the airline company, Asky, took-off for the first time. This event was unique in the West-African sub-region that just launched a major challenge.
5 years later, the Pan-African air company conquered the African sky and the heart of millions of travelers. In a communiqué published in prelude to the celebration of its fifth anniversary, Asky shows itself more reassuring than ever. The company registers 2 million passengers carried and is present in 19 countries with 22 stations.
The company has a fleet of 7 modern planes and a staff of 27 nationalities. « All this consolidates absolute necessity to enlarge the network of Asky in Africa to contribute to the economic, tourist, social and cultural development of the continent« , indicated the company in its communiqué.
As a reminder, the Pan-African airline company, managed by the Togolese Gervais Djondo, was elected in Geneva, « the Best African Company of the year » during the Africa CEO Forum Awards in March 2014. Its Manager was also nominated in the category of « The African of the year » during the 1st edition of the Africa Top Success Awards.
