On working visit in Dakar (Senegal), the Gabonese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emmanuel Issoze Ngondet signed with his Senegalese counterpart, an agreement concerning the abolition of visa between personalities of both countries holders of service, diplomatic or official travel documents. This measure strengthens friendship and cooperation relations linking both countries.

For the Gabonese Minister, the present agreement will facilitate free movement of personalities from both countries. It is « important that our men and our women can travel freely« , he declared.

The discussions between both Ministers also concerned economic and social cooperation. Gabon and Senegal also signed agreements of defense and military cooperation, indicated the Gabonreview site.

According to the same source, Emmanuel Issoze Ngondet confirmed to his Senegalese peer, the participation of the Gabonese president, Ali Bongo in the 15th summit of the International Organization of the Francophonie that will be held on 29th and 30th November 2014 in Dakar.

« Things are precise; Dakar will host the next Francophonie Summit. And the President of Republic must take part in this summit« , he asserted.
