Within the framework of the celebration of the international day of happiness, the Gallup Poll firm has just published its ranking of the happiest countries of the world. Contrary to all expectations, the richest countries in the world are not necessarily the happiest.

Latin America alone occupies the first ten positions of the ranking with Paraguay at the head. According to the ranking, Rwandans are the happiest Africans. They stand in the 15th position far ahead of Kenya (33rd) and Nigeria (36th).

The country of Paul Kagamé is better positioned than France (36th) and Germany (33rd), both European major economic powers.

The ranking however shows that there is happiness to offer in several countries of Africa. Tunisia and Sudan shared the last two positions of the ranking (142nd and 143rd).
