Clap Ivoire 2014: Togo honored with 5 prizes

clap ivoirThey satisfactorily represented Togo at the Clap Ivoire 2014 by bringing back five prizes among the Grand Prix of the festival in front of 18 other productions of the ECOWAS in competition.

They are Maxime Tchinkoun and Joël M’Maka Tchedre.

The first stood out with his short film « Les avalés du grand bleu » that won the Canal+ Prizes of the best feminine performance, the one of the best scenario and the UEMOA Trophy of the best fiction.

The second Togolese excelled himself with a documentary entitled: « Nana Benz, les reines du textile africain« .

The work won the Prize of the African integration and for the first time for Togo, won the Grand Prix Kodjo Eboucle Clap Ivoire.

In short, Togo was honored by two trophies over three and three special prizes over seven.

We should note that the Togolese delegation was led by Koutom Essohanam, the national cinematography manager.

Event created to mutualize efforts in order to impulse a dynamics in the creation of film productions in the sub-region countries, « Clap Ivoire 2014 » received as guest of honor, Mr. Michel Ouédraogo, the Director General of the Pan-African Film Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO).
