Very few Gabonese know the existence of Aston Martin Lagonda, the luxury car that was a part of the private collection of the former president, Omar Bongo. The car is a part of 700 collections that are for sale from 9th to 11th November 2014 at the 36th international old cars and motorcycles fair, Epoqu’auto Lyon 2014.

People know a little more about the taste of the former Gabonese president, Omar Bongo Ondimba. One of the most powerful heads of States of the continent (in his time), had an Aston Martin Lagonda. According to gabonreview site, this collection element that can be recognized by its fine golden handles and its precious wooden finishes, will be accessible for a minimal stake varying between 30.000 and 40.000€.

The car of the former president was considered in his time as one of the most expensive in the world. It is equipped with a bar, a TV and a video-tape recorder.

Aston Martin Lagonda was made by the British firm, Aston Martin, between 1974 and 1989. It counts only 645 specimens. The style of the model 2 (that of President Bongo), was made in a very square form. From its presentation in 1976 to its marketing, it required two years to assure its finishing, the main part of the delay for the development being related to the embarked electronics very ahead of the time.

Other cars collection as « Cadillac Eldorado Coupé » for the king of Belgians are also for sale at the 36th international old cars and motorcycles fair, Epoqu’auto Lyon 2014
