The journalist, Sethou Banhoro, at the daily paper, Fraternité Matin, is declared winner of the Super Ebony Prize. The ceremony that rewards the professionalism of the Ivorian journalists was at its 16th edition on Saturday, 10th January 2015.
Placed under the theme, « Solidarity between the journalists for the reconciled Ivory Coast« , the event was the opportunity for the mayor of Yamoussoukro, host city, to invite the professionals of the media to participate in the peace building in Ivory Coast.
« After the painful decade punctuated by the serious post electoral crisis which torments continue to question us, the national and international community has their eyes on you« , indicated Jean Kouacou Gnrangbé Kouadio before asking the journalists to help the government assure the progress for all and the happiness of each.
Initiated by the National Union of the Journalists of Ivory Coast (UNJCI), the Prize encourages excellence and honors the best journalists of the year. Traoré, the chairman of the UNJCI, give the reasons of the relocation of the ceremony.
« Relocating the Communication Evening at Yamoussoukro is a way for us to allow the journalists who practice inside the country to participate in this event that is also theirs« , he specified.
Sethou Banhoro, the winner of the Super Ebony Prize 2014, wins one four runner car (4X4), a serviced plot of land for 10 million FCFA, 1 million FCFA from the mayor of Yamoussoukro, a trophy and a laptop computer.
